Peninsula Players
Local drama group the Peninsula Players have been entertaining audiences in Beara and beyond since 2012. Some past productions include ‘Arsenic and Old Lace’ by Joseph Kesselring, Oscar Wilde’s ‘ Importance of being Earnest’, ‘The cripple of Inishmaan ‘by Martin McDonagh, O Casey’s ‘Bedtime story’ and the’ Lone star love potion’ by Michael Parker, to name just a few.
As part of the Bere Island Arts Festival the Peninsula Players bring two comedies by David Tristram.
Murder in Little Grimley
Anxious to cash in on the public’s appetite for detective dramas, the Chairman of the local drama group, Gordon, writes a whodunnit. But in a bizarre twist he then finds himself embroiled in a real-life murder mystery that threatens to put him behind bars.
