The Starling Band was formed in 2012 with musicians Deirdre Archbold, Christine Deady, Paula K O’Brien, and Liz Clark. All 4 band members have links to Bere Island. Gorgeous 4-part harmony and alternate instrumentation was introduced, such as mandolin, ukulele and bass guitar. The Starling Band has been featured at the Skibbereen Arts Festival twice and performed in pubs and concert venues throughout West Cork.
